FIVE KNUCKLE - ALL AGES E.P
Debut label release for Five Knuckle (Used to be known as Five Knuckle Shuffle)
and this the best release i have herd up to date. Hardcore with skacore
and tinges of metal riffs in there for good measure. Five Knuckle are kinda
in the same ball park as label mates Capdown, but they tend to have a slightly
heavier sound , this may be down to the fact that they have 2 guitarists.
All the songs on this release are quality, my favorites being 'Sleeping
Easy' and 'So Called Friends' as the chorus' just rip you apart. Five Knuckle
inject all the best bit of their the 3 styles of music mentioned and ther
songs are well structured, beatdown verses, adding a odd metal break, then
lifting things up again with an agressive hardcore chorus like they've got
a rocket up their arse, with vocals that at times sound similar to Tim Armstrong's
snotty-punk-ska style, and this all sounds monsterous live as well. I feel
that the future for Five Knuckle is only for them to sign to a major lable
beacuse they have got what it takes. They have toured with bands such as
CapDown,Link 80, 28 Days and even Good Riddence. BE WARNED!!!Also look out
for the latest realease on HHN which is a slip with the American Ska band
'Big D and The Kids Table'.
